  • A small west-facing beach just north of Bude, within easy walking distance of the town centre. Crooklets joins up with neighbouring Summerleaze at low tide. More exposed and usually bigger than its neighbour, Crooklets is popular with surfers.

    Crooklets Beach (Bude) Reviews

    Good family beach

Now I’m used to the quite silty-looking sand in this and nearby beaches, Crooklets is a front runner in the area. It has a good combination of facilities, sandy areas, rocks and rockpools, lovely clean sea and good waves for a bit of body boarding. It’s less crazy busy than Summerleaze round the rocks, and its scale and shape, defined by hills and cliffs, are more favourable than the windswept vastness of Westward Ho! up the coast.
