Worthing Beach - West Sussex

The Lido, Worthing [closed, for swimming, in 1988]

Built in 1897 as a birdcage bandstand later became a Lido which remained open until 1988, when it held the dolphins from Brighton for a year whilst their permanent accommodation was being rebuilt. In the winter of 1989-90 it was finally built over and is now a Family Entertainment Centre. It is Grade II listed.
