Wemyss Bay - Strathclyde

Wemyss Bay Road

Known locally as "The Private Road" since visitors, especially those wishing to park a car, are not welcome. The beach was concreted during WWII and was used by landing craft and possibly by flying boats too if local stories are true. The concrete is now in a broken and dangerous state. See also [[440717]]. Inellan is visible across the River Clyde.
