Lifeboat Station, St Annes-on-Sea - 1

Opened in 2000 to house the 'All Weather' Mersey Class Lifeboat - Her Majesty The Queen - which is stationed here. An 'Inshore' Lifeboat is housed further down the coast at Lytham. These two Stations were initially separate ... then merged in 1925 (much to the chagrin of the local St Annes people) ... and separated again with the opening of this fine looking building.
