Southbourne Beach (Bournemouth) Photo
Southbourne, groyne no 46
Square SZ1490 is only visible at low tide, and today's visit was at New Moon, just before Spring Tide; so, just about the maximum land area visible: perhaps 110m width, and maximum 20m depth, with shingly beach and the ends of two groynes, nos 46 and 47. Seen here, groyne no 46, with a gap for water to pass through.
