Red Wharf Bay - Anglesey

Incoming tide at Red Wharf Bay

As a result of the large expanse of exposed sands at low tide the area attracts a large number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shelduck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. The bay is bordered by salt marshes and sand dunes.
