Looking up the Solway Firth from the shore at Powfoot. To the left is the headland of Barnkirk Point [[NY1964]] at the mouth of the River Annan. To the right, the clump of trees is at Bowness-on-Solway [[NY2262]] western terminus of the Hadrian's Wall National Trail. The structure on the sand is the remains of a tidal swimming pool.
