Porth Padrig Beach - Anglesey

Porth Padrig

Dist:0.2km
Porth Padrig means '(Saint) Patrick's port'. Perhaps this is where he came ashore during his legendary swim from Ynys Badrig (Middle Mouse). If so it must have added considerable to his swim, because it is sheltered from the north, and Ynys Badrig, by Llanbadrig Point, the eastern headland of Cemaes Bay.
