Loch Morlich & Cairngorm Mountain

Red, green and blue. Loch Morlich, near Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands, is a popular spot for water sports and on a warm summer day many people come for the beach. It was quiet the day I visited! (The nearest sea is about an hour or more away.) Beyond the forest is Cairngorm Mountain which is especially popular with winter sports enthusiasts. Anyone can take the funicular railway which almost reaches the top and at the terminus there is the highest restaurant in Scotland which (on a clear day) has panoramic views.
