Holme next the sea Beach - Norfolk

The beach at Holme next the Sea

View across the vast beach from the edge of the dunes; in the foreground a Spigot mortar emplacement can be seen: it is one of a pair, located about 10 metres apart on separate concrete bases, in the golf links. See > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/832508 for a view in the other direction. Constructed from concrete and steel during 1941/45 they formed part of the Norfolk coast defences.
