Goodwick Sands Beach Photo

Goodwick Sands Beach - Pembrokeshire

The beach at Wdig/Goodwick

The grassy seafront area bordering the shore here is called the Parrog and it was where the French laid down their arms after their abortive 'invasion' in 1797. Until recently the sea and sand here was too foul for safe bathing but since improvements to sewage disposal it has become a clean and popular beach. This view looks towards Fishguard town up on the cliffs.
