Eypemouth Beach - Dorset

Cliffs and pebbly beach east of Eype's Mouth

The view east from near Eype's Mouth. The cliffs at West Bay stand out orange from the nearer grey slopes, and the piers look deceptively near. However, walking the beach is best described as wading through pebbles, and it is hard work. What is more, there is no safe access from the beach onto the promenade at West Bay without clambering over some slippery rocks, which have been the cause of quite a few injuries over the years. It's a mistake you only make once, so I took the clifftop path today.
