Dymchurch Beach - Kent

The Dymchurch Wall

The Dymchurch Wall demonstrates its value. The first wall is believed to have been constructed by the Romans but has since been raised many times to cope with rising sea levels. This photograph dramatically illustrates the vital part it has to play in keeping the sea from flooding Romney Marsh.
