Port Soif Bay
The crescent-shaped Port Soif Bay, on the north-west coast of Guernsey is a sandy beach close to St Peter Port. Extensive sand dunes behind the beach provide shelter, and make this a good destination for a spot of sunbathing.
The fine, white sands are dry and perfect for beach games or just walking along barefoot, feeling the sand between your toes. When the tide is out, those wanting to swim in the bay will have to walk quite a long way out to get to the water.
Port Soif is popular with both visitors and local families who enjoy barbecues here on warm summer evenings.
Not only is Port Soif beach picture-postcard pretty, it also gets some spectacular sunsets.
The horseshoe-shaped bay does experience some surprisingly strong currents, so young children playing in or near the water will need to be closely supervised.

Aug 13th 2019Just love this beach and it’s crystal clear waters. So quiet too. We could have been anywhere. Bermuda, Maldives, Hawaii but no it was the Channel Islands. Great.
