Kames Bay

Kames Bay is a small, sand and shingle beach, offering pleasant views out over the Kyles of Bute; the rugged, mountainous countryside of the Isle of Bute and the surrounding area.

The beach is backed by the picturesque village of Kames, which offers facilities including toilets, a hotel and pub which overlooks the bay, a village shop, and a post office. Along the beach there are two piers, and the area is popular for boating. Roadside parking next to the beach is possible.

This area of coastline is wild and remote, and there are many footpaths along the shore, and in the surrounding hills, mountains, and forests for visitors to enjoy.
