Mossyard is a small, sandy beach, slightly less than 100 meters long; located next to the Mossyard Holiday Park it sits at the northern end of the mouth of Fleet Bay. The beach is popular for boating, and small boats can be launched from the shore.

On the rocky outcrops, visitors will find many rock pools which can be exciting to explore. A small car park can be found next to the beach.

Laggan Outdoor Activity Centre is very close by and offers a range of activities that children of all ages will enjoy. The area is popular for walking, with Galloway Forest National Park to the north. Facilities such as places to eat and places to stay can be found in Gatehouse of Fleet, a few miles drive north east of the beach.
