Elly Bay
Elly Bay is a popular sandy beach on the east side of a narrow stretch of the Belmullet peninsula. The sheltered bay is ideal for water sports as it is protected and there is also a seasonal lifeguard service.
To the back of the beach are sand dunes across which lies an Atlantic facing beach.
Elly Bay is an internationally important ecological area with a diverse range of habitats which are home to a variety of birdlife.
