  • The beautiful sandy crescent of Cill Muirbhthe (Kilmurvy) is located on the northern shores of Inishmore Island.

Inishmore is the largest of the three Aran Islands which sit at the mouth of Galway Bay, a few miles off the Irish coast. These largely unspoiled islands are home to a rich variety of habitats in which a range of flora and fauna thrive. As well as some world class birdlife the islands also support several rare species of plant some of which are listed in the Red Data Book.

Despite being a ferry ride from the mainland this is still a popular destination. This shouldn’t be surprising as this clean, safe beach is a regular winner of the Blue Flag award and one of the loveliest beaches on the west coast.
