May 31st 2020While not a golden sandy beach, it has grey sand, it is one of the safest beaches around with minimal currents and no large waves. This makes it superb for kids and families. It also has the advantage of Kierans Hole, a natural swimming pool 5 minutes walk up the headland.

Apr 09th 2022A very safe beach. I’ve have been swimming here for over 25 years. Very few savings in comparison to other beaches. Remember if you get into difficulty in the water relax and lie on your back. It should be the first thing everyone is taught before the front crawl
