Fleetwood is actually the name of this charming seaside town in Lancashire that used to be a fishing port, although the name is also sometimes applied to the beach here. Technically however the beach in Fleetwood is called Marine Beach and you will find a fine stretch of sand here as well as pretty sand dunes.

The seafront area here has recently been renovated and has views across to Morecambe Bay where the low tide reveals a truly vast expanse of sand.

Went to Fleetwood beach over the weekend with 2 of children, lovely clean beach, the annual gala was on and started their route across the road , lovely to see so many locals out. Went to the Beach Kiosk for ice creams, lovely staff and even more lovely was the amount of ice cream for the price. Deffinately recommend a visit there.

Stunning views of the Lake District and fabulous sunsets, Fleetwood is a lovely beach with a great family atmosphere. There are plenty of cafés, parks and gardens for a change of scene, and a splash pool to keep the kids entertained. The tides allow for great variation between an expanse of lovely flat sand and hypnotic waves to gaze upon, as well as an array of sand dunes to explore. The town has an interesting history and if you wander along the promenade, you’ll find a number of historical monuments to demonstrate this.

Very clean and safe beach for families, with,on a clear day, probably the best view in the whole country.

The dates on the main page for dogs on the beach are wrong
The signs tell you it’s actually to 30th September
That being said if you keep walking along to the left you will find a small part that dogs are allowed on
