  • Shell beach is located on the far side of Herm Island, just off the coast of Guernsey. A truly lovely stretch of golden sand there is always plenty of room to play, sunbathe, eat ice cream or just relax.

The name of the beach comes from the fact the sand is formed from tiny shell fragments which sparkle in the sunshine.

From easter, through summer there is a beach cafe at Shell beach serving snacks, ice creams and drinks along with a range of beach games and souvenirs .

There are also plenty of interesting rock pools at low tide.
